The Marlow Murder Club season 2 episodes 3 & 4 guest stars led by EastEnders icon
By Dave Golder | Wed Mar 26 2025The Marlow Murder Club season 2 has assembled guest cast from EastEnders, Casualty and Baby Reindeer for episodes 3 and 4.
This follows appearances from James Wilby, Tom Stourton, Caroline Langrishe and Yuna Shin in episodes 1 and 2 of the returning cosy crime drama.
In the latest two-part story, an ice queen from Walford falls out with an ITV cop as the Marlow amateur sleuths get to grips with another murder...
What happens in The Marlow Murder Club season 2 episodes 3 and 4?
When the body of a man turns up in the middle of an almost-abandoned estate, Judith, Suzie and Becks suspect one of the four remaining residents must be the culprit.
Or could it be the property developer, waiting with her diggers just beyond the manicured hedges, trying to intimidate these hold-outs into selling their houses?
The weird thing is the victim doesn’t appear to have a connection to any of them.
And that’s not the only mystery for the Murder Club in this second double bill of season 2. Becks keep running off with no explanation. And Judith’s great aunt has a big secret she wants to get to the bottom of.

Who guest stars in The Marlow Murder Club season 2 episodes 3 & 4
Samantha Womack is Caroline Wingrove
Samantha Womack spent eight years in Albert Square (over two stints from 2007-2011 and 2013-2017) as EastEnders’ not-evil-just-misunderstood ice queen Ronnie Branning (née Mitchell). In that time she worked her way through partners and husbands (including Charlie Cotton and Jack Branning) like she was updating her iPhone.
The 52 year old waved goodbye to the role when she drowned in her wedding dress trying – and failing – to save sister Roxy. Just a day at the office for an EastEnders character.
A talented singer, Samantha shot to fame representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1991. TV roles followed, with sitcoms Game On and Babes In The Wood between '95 and '98 - and BBC drama Pie In The Sky also during this period. From 2013 and 2017, she starred as Tanya Porter alongside The Madame Blanc Mysteries' Sally Lindsay in Sky comedy drama Mount Pleasant.
In The Marlow Murder Club she plays Caroline Wingrove, who lives with her husband, Phil, in one of only two remaining habited houses in a close, preventing it from being knocked down for redevelopment.
But Caroline has a pregnant daughter living in France. Will the temptation to join her there prove too much? And what will that do to her friendship with neighbour Kerry?

Patrick Robinson guest stars as Phil Wingrove
Caroline's husband Phil is played Patrick Robinson, who spent many years at Holby City Hospital as Martin ‘Ash’ Ashman across two stints in Casualty. From 1990 to 1996 Ash was a caring, hands-on nurse, then he returned in 2013 as a doctor, eventually being promoted to Senior Consultant before leaving in 2015. He was also best man at Charlie and Baz’s wedding.
More recently, the 61 year old was a regular in series three of the Stephen Merchant comedy drama The Outlaws, playing Sean, the old flame that Myrna tries to rekindle. He also made it to the semi-finals of the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing, with partner Anya Garnis.
In The Marlow Murder Club, Patrick's character Phil was once friends with his neighbour, Dean, but their relationship has turned sour in recent months. Is the root of the problem a dispute about the bins? Or something far more serious?

Nina Sosanya plays Grace Wellingborough
It’s almost impossible you won’t recognise Nina Sosanya from somewhere, as her acting CV is more like a telephone directory of TV shows and films. From the 55 year old's first screen credit in The Bill in 1992, to her role as Donny’s ex’s mum and landlady in last years’s most notorious show, Baby Reindeer, she’s been seen in Love, Actually, Doctor Who, Hustle, Silent Witness, Vera, Lewis and loads more.
The two roles she’s possibly most remembered for though, are as Sarah Lancashire’s character Caroline’s girlfriend through three series of Last Tango In Paris, and as Head of Inclusivity Lucy Freeman in all three series of W1A.
Nina's Murder Club character Grace is the developer who wants to tear down the close where the Wingroves and Butlers still live, and she’s started taking extreme measures to try to ‘encourage’ them to sell up. She also uses some hi-tech, remote control diggers which Judith from the Murder Club finds most fascinating.

Andrew Knott is Dean Butler
Andrew Knott had a recurring role in Gavin And Stacy as the short-fused Dirtbox one of Gavin and Smithy’s Billericay crew.
Early in his career he rose to fame with a five-series stint on the popular Yorkshire small town-based drama Where The Heart Is (from 1997 to 2001) as Henry Green, growing from self-conscious schoolboy to unlucky-in-love supermarket manager.
Now 45, he's currently starring as DI Richard Bewley in Siobhan Finneran-starring ITV crime mini-series, Protection.
Andrew has also had guest roles in Ackley Bridge, Silent Witness, Casualty (as multiple characters) and Father Brown, among many others. On the big screen, he was one of the core characters in The History Boys (alongside James Corden again).
In episodes 3 and 4 of The Marlow Murder Club's series 2, woodworker Dean lives next door to Caroline and Phil, with his wife Kerry. They used to all get along fine, but something has made things more icy between Dean and Phil.
Has Dean been using those woodworking tools for something other than making furniture?

Steve Chusak is 'sexy art teacher' Daniel Bradley
You probably won’t have seen him before as his most of his credits are voice work for video games and his biggest screen credit was a role in one episode the Superman prequel Krypton. But we think some of you out there might appreciate the picture (after all, he’s shamelessly objectified in the show!).
