Chef Yotam Ottolenghi travels to the Greek island of Crete, which has a rich and complex culinary history with Turkey and north Africa as its neighbours. He travels to the capital Heraklion to make a variation of the Cretan dish meze dakos, consisting of tomatoes, crumbled feta, olives and oregano. In the fishing port of Agios Nikolaos he prepares octopus marinated in wine with baby squid stuffed with tomatoes and okra. Plus, on a trip inland, he uses feta for a cheesecake, and prepares a feast of spit-roasted pork souvlaki served with his twist on tzatziki
