Alex Polizzi is enlisted to rescue Michelangelo's, a Newcastle hotel and restaurant owned by Paolo Pieri and operated with the help of his brother, Giacomo. A year ago, illness forced Paolo to step back from the business, bringing a disastrous downturn in customers. Though Paolo is now back, profits are nowhere to be seen, so Alex tries to turn things around
