Twelve professional duos from across the UK go head to head, aiming to impress judges and celebrated pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin. In the opening heat, Cherish and Benoit set the first six teams a pair of exceedingly tricky challenges. Firstly, they must craft two batches of perfectly uniform miniature classics - Linzer tortes and Bakewell tarts - in three and a half hours. Then for their Showpiece, the teams are required to reinvent a classic dessert, the red velvet cake, in five hours. Presented by Liam Charles and Tom Allen
