Louisa and John have been living in London for over 20 years and have had enough of city life and their cramped two-bedroom flat. On an impulsive whim - and without consulting Louisa first - John has bought a cavernous and dilapidated church hall at auction for only 80,000 pounds, 300 miles away from London in the remote coastal Cumbrian village of Seascale.After recovering from the initial shock, Louisa embraces the adventure, and she and John start to revive and renovate this huge 450-square-metrebuilding. But without any previous restoration experience, and beset by life-changing personal challenges along the way, can they achieve their goal, or will their dream crumble into the Irish Sea?
