
The Fortune Hotel series 2: Full contestant line-up as the ITV show returns

Eleven pairs of eager holidaymakers complete the crop and they are each hoping to bag themselves the £250,000 prize.
ITV has confirmed that the second series of the ruthless reality competition will be airing on August 6 – but who is in?

All they have to do is work which one has the cash prize in, get their hands on it – and keep it!
ITV said: “This series promises an array of all new vital challenges, never before seen twists, high-stakes deception and of course, plenty more helpings of intense case-swapping drama in The Night Cap..”
Here, we take a look at the full line-up of contestants who will be trying their luck at The Fortune Hotel.

Best mates Maz and Max have their eyes on the prize [Credit: ITV]
Marilyn (Maz) and Maxine (Max)
Maz and Max are two best friends hoping to win a fortune. Maz works as a mental health practitioner and she is 46 years old. Her BFF Max is a tech strategist and she is 41. The pals are from Essex.
Maz hopes to win the £250,000 prize for a very special reason; funding fertility treatment. She said: “It would definitely go towards a last attempt at having children. One will do, two is a bonus!”

Best pals Briony and Chelsey own their own cleaning company [Credit: ITV]
Briony and Chelsey
These ladies are also best friends. Chelsey is 34 years old and her favourite buddy Briony is 33.
Chelsey and Briony own a cleaning company together in Wigan. They are also content creators for their TikTok account, Clean and Bright Services. They have 202,000 followers!
Chelsey said: “I have an obsession with crime documentaries! I feel like I’d be able to watch people’s body language and know if they’re lying. I’ve watched so many programmes I like to think I’m a detective now.”

Atholl and John could have what it takes to crack the case [Credit: ITV]
Atholl and John
Antoll and John are a father and son duo from the Scottish borders. Antholl is 58 years old and he is a retired policeman. His son John, 30, works as a waiter.
John said: “My dad can deal with who the liars are as he’s a retired police officer, so has done a lot with body language. Even when I was growing up, I could never lie!”

Have Allan and Jacob got what it takes to win big at The Fortune Hotel? Allan, 38, originally hails from Aberdeen and works in events and aviation. His partner Jacob, 33, is cabin crew and is from Huddersfield. They both now live in London.
Allan said: “Being cabin crew and going to different destinations with strangers as our job, we are quite good at making people feel comfortable with us enough to trust us and share information with us.
“I think we’ll be able to read people and know if someone’s telling the truth!”

Mike and Jake are two brothers hoping to win [Credit: ITV]

Brothers Mike and Jake have their eyes firmly on that £250,000 briefcase. Jake, 29, is a construction worker. His brother Mike is 33 years old. Mike is an energy surveyor. Like their competitors, Chelsey and Briony, the lads are from Wigan.
Strangely, Mike and Jake didn’t tune in to series one of The Fortune Hotel. Mike said: “We didn’t watch the first series but as soon as I saw there was a holiday in the Caribbean a quarter of a million pounds to be won, I was like let’s do it! It was a no brainer.”

Gurks and Guv have the skills, as Guv is a poker player [Credit: ITV]
Gurks and Guv
Friends Gurks and Guv, from Leicester, think they’ve got what it takes to go all the way at The Fortune Hotel. Gurks is 28 years old and works as a commercial manager. But it’s Guv who holds the skills for this one.
The 35-year-old energy salesman is also a poker player. He said: “Put me in a group of people and I’ll understand every person bit by bit. I’ll know what your next move is gonna be before you make it.”

James and Yasmine have flown from Huddersfield to visit The Fortune Hotel [Credit: ITV]
James and Yasmine
Dad and daughter duo James and Yasmine will also be in the Caribbean. James is a 45-year-old carpet fitter and Yasmine, 23, is a teaching assistant. The contestants are from Huddersfield.
The pair have a very special reason for checking in to The Fortune Hotel. James’ son and Yasmine’s brother, also called James, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma when he was 19. Thankfully, he is now in remission and heading to uni.
James said: “We wanted to give something like this a go. When I got through, James told me, ‘Do it, just do it! What an amazing thing’.”

Couple Tope and Nella are among the Fortune Hotel series 2 line-up
Nella and Tope
Lovebirds Nella and Tope are a couple from London. Nella is 31 years old and she works as a senior financial assistant. Her partner Trope, 34, also works in finance as a business manager.
But Nella admitted: “We’d only been together for two-and-a-half years when we applied for the show. If it didn’t work well together, it could have been make or break.”

Jo-Anne and Will, a mum and son, won the first series of The Fortune Hotel. Now, Sue and Jeremy are hoping to do the same!
Sue, 59, is a tech broker from Halifax. Her son Jeremy, 23, works in residential property management in London.
Jeremy won’t be mincing his words. He said: “I’m very blunt, I don’t like to beat around the bush.” He added: “I like to think I’m quite convincing and deceiving.”
Sparks might fly!

Life partners Fred and Min want to win [Credit: ITV]
Fred and Min
Fred and Min describe themselves as ‘life partners’. Both are retired and they live in Blackpool. Fred is 60 years old and Min 59.
Min says Fred is “stoic”, adding: “He’s like a dog with a bone. He will not give up! I’m a trier, I’ll give everything a good go and my best shot.”

Martina and Briony
Martina and Briony, a mum and daughter, complete the Fortune Hotel contestant line-up. Martina is a 68-year-old office manager. Her daughter Briony – who is the second Briony in series two – is a declutterer.
Briony would also like to put the £250,000 Fortune Hotel prize towards having a baby. She said: “I’ve got endometriosis and I want to freeze my eggs. Insurance for my age is quite expensive.
“I’d like to look into my fertility and where it currently stands.”
