By Helen Fear | Mon Jan 13 2025The Crow Girl lands on Paramount+ this week, and the brand new psychological thriller has a cast we can get excited about - including TV favourites Katherine Kelly, and Eve Myles.
The chilling storyline follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, who is called to investigate when the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up - beaten and full of the anaesthetic Lidocaine.
She enlists the help of psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven to hunt the killer... And the team-up has all sorts of unexpected consequences.
Here's everything you need to know about the cast of The Crow Girl on Paramount+ including who plays who, and where you've seen them before.
The Crow Girl cast list: Eve Myles portrays DCI Jeanette Kilburn
The Crow Girl follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and her partner DI Lou Stanley as they hunt for a killer targeting young men.
Welsh actress Eve Myles, 46, leads the cast as Jeanette. And she's well known for her roles in thrillers, including Keeping Faith, Broadchurch, We Hunt Together, and Hijack.
She's been on our screens since 1999, when she first popped up as Tracy in Hang the DJ. After small roles in TV series such as Nuts and Bolts, Tales from Pleasure Beach, and Colditz, Eve won the coveted role of Gwyneth in three episodes of Doctor Who. Her fans will know that she reprised the role in Torchwood, a spin-off of Doctor Who, between 2006 and 2011.
Other notable roles include Maggy in Little Dorrit, Ceri in Belonging, Sarah in Baker Boys, Frankie in Frankie Maddox, and Lauren Grey in You, Me & Them.
In 2008, Eve portrayed Claire Ripley in the brilliant Broadchurch, before going on to play Mrs Jenkins in Victoria, and Caitlin Henderson in Cold Feet.
She is arguably best known for leading the cast of Keeping Faith as Faith Howells, opposite her real life husband Bradley Freegard.
More recently, she's played DS Lola Franks in the underrated We Hunt Together, and Alice Sinclair in the Idris Elba thriller Hijack.
She's been in tonnes of films, too, including To Provide All People, Eat Local, Under Milk Wood, and Soundproof.
Dougray Scott stars as DI Lou Stanley
Scottish actor Dougray Scott, 59, portrays Jeanette's grouchy partner DI Lou Stanley. And it's quite a different type of detective to DI Ray Lennox, the character he plays in Irvine Welsh's Crime.
Desperate Housewives fans will know Dougray as Ian Hainsworth in the huge US series which ran from 2004 to 2012 (although Dougray only appeared between 2006–2007). The actor is one of the lucky ones who made it on home soil, as well as in the States.
He's also famous for playing Major Rory Taylor in Soldier Soldier, Mickey O'Neil in Heist, Norman Godfrey in Hemlock Grove, and Colonel Jacob Kane in Batwoman.
Between 2013 and 2014, Dougray played Norman Godfrey in the US TV series Hemlock Grove, before portraying Senator David Faulkner in Full Circle in 2016. He's also starred as Vic Hill in Snatch, Uncle Tony in A Town Called Malice, and Ethan Moreau in Departure.
Most recently, Dougray has led the cast in two series of Irvine Welsh detective drama Crime on ITVX. He's been in dozens of films, including Twin Town, Taken 3, Last Passenger, and Mission Impossible: II.
Dougray played Air Marshall Marcus Grainger in the cast of Vigil series 2 in 2024, opposite Film Club star Suranne Jones.
Katherine Kelly plays Dr Sophia Craven
Popular actress Katherine Kelly stars as the prime suspect's psychotherapist, Dr Sophia Craven, in the cast of The Crow Girl.
She's described as "sophisticated and poised", and "offers a troubling perspective on the case". Of course, TV fans will know the popular actress from Coronation Street, Innocent, and the recent Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
Of course, Katherine Kelly exploded on to our TV screens as Becky Granger in ITV soap Corrie, a role she played from 2006 to 2012.
She HAD starred in other shows before - like Silent Witness, The Royal, No Angels and Life on Mars - but it was her role as larger-than-life Beaky that really helped catapult her to fame.
After leaving Corrie fans gutted when she left in 2012, Katherine went on to play Maloney in brilliant political crime drama The Fields of Blood. She also starred in The Guilty as Claire Reid, and played Mrs Webb in The Secret River.
We've come to love Katherine for her roles in gritty dramas, including Sally Wright in Innocent, Natalie Hobbs in Criminal: UK, DI Karen Renton in Liar, and Jodie Shackleton in Happy Valley.
She's also played Elizabeth Sutherland in Gentleman Jack, Leah in Cheat, and Lady Mae in Mr Selfridge.
Katherine starred as the Permanent Secretary in the acclaimed 2016 drama The Night Manager, and played Jane Lowry in Strike Back a year later.
The actress is also pretty convincing in comedies, too… She's played George in Bloods, Kirsty in Black Ops, boss from hell Vicky in Ruby Speaking, and Lynne in Inside No 9.
More recently, actress Katherine has taken on a number of tough, hard-hitting roles. She starred as Peter Sutcliffe's second victim Emily Jackson in The Long Shadow, and Angela Van Den Bogerd in Mr Bates vs. The Post Office.
Victoria Hamilton plays Supt Verity Pound in the cast of The Crow Girl
London-born actress Victoria Hamilton, 53, portrays Superintendent Verity Pound in The Crow Girl on Paramount+.
Doctor Foster fans will know Victoria for playing long-suffering wife Anna in the much-missed BBC drama, opposite Dalgliesh's Bertie Carvel. She reprised the role in the spin-off Life three years later.
Actress Victoria has been on our screens for three decades. One of her first ever television roles was as Mrs Forster in Pride and Prejudice in 1995. That same year, she donned her corset once again to play Henrietta Musgrove in Persuasion.
She went on to star in Cone Zone, Mansfield Park, The Savages and Babyfather among countless others. In 2007, she played Esther in The Time of Your Life and, a year later, portrayed Ruby Pratt in Lark Rise to Candleford.
After appearing in The Game, and What Remains, Victoria starred in what is arguably her most significant role to date. Between 2015 and 2017, played Anna in Doctor Foster, and reprised the role in the spin-off series Life.
Victoria portrayed The Queen Mother in 17 episodes of The Crown from 2016 to 2017. And it wasn't her first time playing a member of royalty. She won the role of Queen Victoria in the 2001 television production, Victoria & Albert, portraying the monarch in her early years.
Other notable roles include Senator Meaghan Sullivan in Deep State, Anna Marshall in Cobra, Ruth Jones in The Trick, and Dora Lang in series 4 of McDonald & Dodds.
Her next role will be playing Juliet Cooper in the cast of Unforgotten series 6.
Lee Boardman stars as David White
Stockport-born actor Lee Boardman, 52, stars as David White in the cast of The Crow Girl on Paramount+.
Of course, soap fans should recognise Lee straight away. After all, he played the villainous Jez Quigley in Coronation Street from 1997 to 2000. Jez was a thoroughly vile bloke - a gangster, drug dealer and murderer. He put an end to Tony Horrocks and Des Barnes, and got Leanne Battersby hooked on drugs - until his death at the hands of a revenge-seeking Jim McDonald.
Since leaving the ITV soap, actor Lee went on to play Timon in the acclaimed Rome, Murray Priestman in Drop Dead Gorgeous, and Damon in Ladies of Letters.
Other notable roles include Hodge in Great Night Out, Amerigo Vespucci in Da Vinci's Demons, Xavier in The Interceptor, Hane in Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands, and Jay Newman in The Five.
Between 2017 and 2020, he portrayed DI George Morris in Bancroft, before going on to play Brian Daniels in The Trouble with Maggie Cole, DS Leadbetter in Housebound, and Holt Thompson in Absentia.
More recently, he popped up as Kravas in Andor, and Vernon Bradley in The Madame Blanc Mysteries.

Small Axe's Elliot Edusah portrays diligent rookie DC Mike Dilliston. Lou takes him under his wing during his first murder investigation. Elliot recently played Andrew Ellis in Django.
Relative newcomer Chloé Sweetlove plays Madeleine Burkeman. It looks like 2025 is her year, as she'll also play Kim Bergerac in the Bergerac reboot.
The cast for the series also includes Raphael Sowole as Alex Kilburn. He's played Spanner in Edge of Heaven, and Timi in Grime Kids.
Michael Lumsden plays Ben Burkeman. He's best known for voicing Alistair Lloyd on The Archers, but has also starred in Professor T, Doctors, House of Anubis, and My Good Friend.

Meanwhile, Lu Corfield portrays Eva Andric. She's best known for playing Lowri Bain in The Red King, Emma Hemmings in Showtrial, and Dr Freya Wilson in Doctors.
Jaye Ersavas is Besim. He played Rakesh Kotecha in Emmerdale from 2014–2017.
