Strictly Come Dancing has added another celebrity to this year’s line-up – Vicky Pattison.

The reality star’s identity was revealed during Thursday’s episode of ITV daytime show This Morning.

Vicky, 37, told viewers: “I’ve not got high hopes for my dancing. I’m a drinker not a dancer. You don’t often see me on the dance floor.

“Drunk aunty dancing is me. It was really nice to be asked. I’ve watched the show for years. Me and my grandma used to sit down and watch it every week.”

Vicky admitted she is “really nervous” and “terrified” about taking part in the BBC show. The former Geordie Shore star is the 11th celebrity to be revealed for Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Strictly Come Dancing: Who is Vicky Pattison?

Vicky Pattison is no stranger to the Strictly ballroom. Last year, she was in the audience supporting her good friend and Celebrity Gogglebox co-star Pete Wicks. And it was during these visits that she is said to have impressed bosses.

Vicky, who found fame on MTV show Geordie Shore, apparently caught the eye of Strictly producers when cheering Pete and his dance partner Jowita Przystał on. Geordie Shore star Abbie Holborn previously claimed the cast were “banned” from Strictly, so it seems Vicky would be an exception.

Since appearing on Geordie Shore in 2011, Vicky has worked hard to shake off her links to the show. She won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in 2015. By 2019, with her image overhauled, the BBC signed her for Celebrity MasterChef.

Speaking about Strictly, Vicky previously told The Sun: “I’ve done my fair share of reality TV and I’d never say never to anything but I’m not a dancer, at all.”

The Strictly 2025 line-up so far

The BBC has now confirmed 11 celebrities for Strictly Come Dancing 2025. Gladiator Nitro – real name Harry Aikines-Aryeete – was the first to be announced earlier this week.

The professional athlete was followed by ER and Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston, Love Islander Dani Dyer and retired football Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. EastEnders’ Balvinder Sopal has also been confirmed for the 2025 series. Balvinder joins social media influencer George Clarke.

Drag Race UK’s La Voix and rugby legend Chris Robshaw were next to be announced. The BBC then confirmed its ninth celeb; model and actress Ellie Goldstein.

Apprentice star Thomas Skinner was also confirmed for Strictly on Thursday morning live on Hits Radio.

More to come

Each year, fifteen celebrities take part in Strictly Come Dancing. This means there are four more star dancers set to be revealed by the BBC.

New and old faces

The BBC has already confirmed this year’s Strictly Come Dancing pro dancers. They include all of the usual Strictly favourites, including Aljaz Skorjanec, Amy Dowden, Vito Coppola and Johannes Radebe.

There are also two new pros joining the dancing line-up in 2025. They are Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. American dancer Alexis has already appeared on So You Think You Can Dance? and Dancing With The Stars. Julian, from Australia, has appeared on the show’s counterparts Down Under, too.

Last week, Gorka Marquez announced he will miss a big chunk of this year’s series. Gorka will also be without a celebrity partner for 2025.

The dancer has a clash of schedules after being given a job on the Spanish version of Strictly, called Bailando Con Las Estrella. It means he will only be able to pre-record the group dances for Strictly UK and then bow out until later in the series.

The judging panel is remaining the same for 2025. Shirley Ballas will be back as Head Judge, sitting alongside Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse.
