Is there a Dalgliesh series 4?

Channel 5 has not yet confirmed if there'll be a series 4 of Dalgliesh. Although it's highly likely there will be.

After all, there are still plenty of PD James' Dalgliesh novels to be adapted. Adam Dalgliesh is a fictional character created by the crime author. And he appears in 14 mystery novels.

The first was the 1962 novel Cover Her Face. The last in the Adam Dalgliesh series was The Private Patient, published in 2008.

What PD James Dalgelish novels have been adapted so far?

The Channel 5 adaptations have not aired in order of the books. Series 1 of Dalgliesh, which first aired in 2021, adapted the novel Shroud For a Nightingale (episode 1 and 2).

Series 1 episodes 3 and 4 adapted The Black Tower, while episodes 5 and 6 covered the novel A Taste for Death.

Series 2 of Dalgliesh covered Death of an Expert Witness (eps 1 and 2), A Certain Justice (eps 3 and 4), and The Murder Room (eps 5 and 6).

Dalgliesh series 3 bought to life the novels Death in Holy Orders (eps 1 and 2), Cover Her Face (eps 3 and 4), and Devices and Desires (eps 4 and 5).

That's nine books adapted so far, with five left to be adapted.
