The spectre of racial unrest looms over Sun Hill following a number of assaults on the Muslim community, allegedly committed by white youths. Hoping to defuse the situation, Leela persuades her father to tell the police he witnessed an Asian man carry out one of the attacks - and later finds him beaten senseless. As the three officers killed in the explosion are laid to rest, Neil arouses his wife's suspicions by attending Andrea's funeral, while Laura is unconvinced by Gabriel's whiter-than-white demeanour
