Ali Drew presents coverage of day one from Maaspoort Den Bosch in 's-Hertogenbosch, featuring the first-round matches. Eight seeded players face local qualifiers, and it was home favourite Michael van Gerwen who prevailed last year. He defeated Luke Littler in the final on that occasion, but it was Littler who took the honours when the two met in the World Championship final earlier this month, becoming the youngest player ever to do so at the age of just 17, and he will be hungry for more success in this tournament.
