In 1993, 16-year-old Daniel Villegas confessed to killing teenagers Armando 'Mando' Lazo and Bobby England in El Paso. However, doubt was later placed on the admission amid claims it was coerced by an El Paso Police Department detective. Journalist Keith Morrison discovered the case in 2011 and kept following the story. An appeals court in 2013 overturned the conviction and a new trial was ordered
