He begins by touring the spectacular underground tombs in the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs were laid to rest. He gains access to the 150-room necropolis built for the sons of Rameses II, where he considers the skill of the vaults' designers, and goes in search of information on the labourers who slaved to build the palatial constructions
