An examination into the world's greatest offshore disaster, in which a gas leak on the Piper Alpha oil rig in July 1988 caused a massive explosion which claimed the lives of 167 men on board. The fire was eventually extinguished by a team led by firefighter Red Adair, who had to battle 80mph winds and 70ft waves
