Cameras follow the fortunes of grandmother Linda, who was so moved by the plight of the dogs she set up a charity to rescue and re-home canines on the Costa Blanca. Bar owner Dave's first year of trading has gone well, but his establishment is hampered by its lack of a sun terrace, prompting him to make a substantial investment which he hopes will pay off. Elsewhere, Mick and Karen decide to sell on the Showboat to Mick's brother Gary and his fiancee Diane, who feel more motivated to give it the overhaul it requires. Narrated by John Thomson
