After Dark

Season 14 Episode 2 of 6

Nightshift paramedics Shyr-Nai and James are dispatched to eight-year-old Adam, who is suffering from sickle cell disease - a chronic, life-threatening blood disorder. Advanced paramedic Mike is among multiple resources dispatched when a call comes in from a concerned grandson whose grandfather is unconscious after falling down the stairs. On scene the team works to stabilise the elderly man's breathing, while simultaneously consoling his relatives who are beside themselves with worry. Rose contends with a pregnancy phone call. With no ambulance available nearby, she must offer guidance through the final stages of labour remotely. Narrated by Christopher Eccleston
