The Great Pottery Throw Down
Season 2017 Episode 8 of 8
Sara Cox presents the final, in which the last three potters have to make a pair of identical, fully functioning light features from porcelain, the delicate clay that is the trickiest to work with. But that's not all. In the spot test, they are challenged to sculpt the torso of a special guest, ice dancer Sylvian Longchambon, and in the throw down they must make as many Japanese lanterns as they can in 10 minutes. But as this is the final, they have to do it the authentic Japanese way, with the wheel turning clockwise - the opposite of what they are used to. After all their hard work, who will be judged the winner?
The Great Pottery Throw Down airs on HGTV at 9:00 PM, Friday 28 March.
