Three-part documentary focusing on the monarch's final days. In the second episode, the country prepares for the unprecedented trial of the King. Although the consensus is that the King is a tyrant, only half of the commissioners appointed actually attend the meetings at Westminster Palace, in fear of being indicted as traitors. On the 20th of January 1649, the three day trial begins, and the King and the Lord President John Bradshaw become embroiled in a battle of wills
