Timothy West and Prunella Scales explore the Norfolk Broads. This is the first time the couple have visited the area, and they learn about the unique way of life that has developed over the centuries in this network of slow-moving rivers, fens, marshes and waterlogged woodlands. Their trip takes them to a marshman's cottage, the ruins of St Benet's Abbey; and a local Norfolk wherry, and brings to mind events from the book Swallows and Amazons
