Holocaust Memorial Day 2025
Holocaust Memorial Day 2025
Eighty years after the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, survivors and VIPs attend a commemoration to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, using music, readings and personal testimony to remember the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered by the Nazis in the Holocaust and other victims of Nazi persecution. It also pays tribute to those murdered in the genocide in Bosnia 30 years ago and in other more recent genocides. Those taking part include cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, the Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra and Rob Rinder. Presented by Reeta Chakrabarti
Holocaust Memorial Day 2025 airs on BBC One South West HD at 7:00 PM, Monday 27 January. (Subtitles, new.)
