Life
Insects
Season 1 Episode 6 of 10
The focus turns to insects, whose key to success is an armoured covering that takes on almost any shape. Bombardier beetles fire boiling liquid at enemies through a rotating nozzle, while a honey bee army stings a raiding bear into submission. Grass-cutter ants march like a Roman army and cultivate a fungus to break down the grass they have harvested. Narrated by David Attenborough
