A young man involved with the IRA turns his back on the paramilitary group after acting as getaway driver following the murder of a policeman. He later falls in love with an older widow, but has to conceal his past when he realises her husband was the man whose killing he assisted. Romantic drama, with Helen Mirren and John Lynch
