After the founding of the Northern Irish state, reports were being sent to the provisional government in Dublin about the plight of Nationalists. At the time a Catholic priest, Father Hassan, was keeping an account of what was going on in Belfast. It was decided that Father Hassan's accounts could be turned into a book that could be used to highlight the plight of Northern Nationalist. Only 18 of the printed copies survived, hidden away in archives until being rediscovered in recent years
