The amateur sewers take part in reduce, reuse and recycle week, in which none of the fabric in the haberdashery is new. They begin by creating a quilted patchwork jacket with a load of old scraps from past Sewing Bees, then breathe new life into boring old coats by completely deconstructing them and reconstructing them into brand new stylish outerwear. In the made-to-measure challenge, the sewers must fit a maxi dress to a model using an unwanted duvet cover
