How animals and plants deal with the changes in the environment that occur every autumn. As summer ends, animals have to prepare for the winter ahead. Chipmunks and beavers hurry to hoard their winter supplies before the weather grows colder, while musk oxen and beetles find they only have one more chance to mate before the year is out and young gannets face the first dangerous challenge of their lives.
