Wales v Kazakhstan (Kick-off 7.45pm). All the action from both teams' opening Group J match, held at Cardiff City Stadium. Wales qualified for their first World Cup finals since 1958 last time out in 2022, and will be hoping to at least earn a place in the play-offs, having been placed in a group that also contains Belgium, North Macedonia and Liechtenstein. Prior to 1991 Kazakhstan didn't have their own football team because they were a part of the Soviet Union national team, but upon gaining independence they originally joined the Asian Football Federation. After failing to qualify for the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cups, they joined UEFA, but are yet to qualify for a FIFA World Cup or a UEFA European Championship
