Observational documentary in which specially rigged cameras in consultation rooms give an insight into the work of doctors at St John's Medical Centre in Lewisham, south-east London. Recovering addict Spencer comes to see Dr Chrisanthan Ferdinand with suspected broken ribs, while elderly patient James teases the nurses when he comes in for one of his regular check-ups. There are also glimpses of what goes on behind the scenes in the surgery's back office, as well as interviews with the GPs in which they discuss working for the NHS
