Gordon Buchanan travels to Finnish Lapland to meet a family from the nomadic Sami culture, who rely on reindeer to help them travel across the frozen wilderness. He learns about the culture's traditional bond with the animals and picks up some tips on surviving during a harsh winter, before he and his reindeer companion undertake a gruelling journey to see the northern lights
