Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Christmas Fishing 2023

Bob Mortimer, Paul Whitehouse and trusty canine companion Ted travel to Scotland to fish for salmon in the Dee, Tay and Ericht, and to taste the traditional Hogmanay celebrations on offer. They start their trip on a steam train overlooking the Dee, the first place they'll fish, a river that brings back special memories for Paul as he used to fish the same beat with his father for many years. Mystic Wilf also drops by to predict their year ahead, and Ted is treated to a special afternoon's entertainment before the traditional works party and awards ceremony. Their final guest arrives to give them a very special performance. Clare Grogan and her band Altered Images play as fireworks rain over their party and they all bid farewell to 2023 and welcome 2024

Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Hogmanay Fishing airs on BBC Two Wales at 10:30 PM, Tuesday 31 December. (Subtitles, repeat, audio description.)
