Robert Llewellyn looks on as two teams grapple with spanners and welding gear to construct a human cannonball launching mechanism from scrapyard junk. They have 10 hours to build a contraption that will fire a life-sized mannequin as far as possible, but the challengers are working under the misapprehension they will have to nominate colleagues to be shot from their devices
