The incident from July 2000 when an Air France Concorde crashed shortly after take-off from Charles de Gaulle Airport. All 109 passengers and crew members on board were killed, as well as at least four people on the ground. The entire world reeled in shock as in 24 years of commercial flight, Concorde had an unblemished record and was considered to be one of the safest passenger planes in history.
