In an isolated town in Western Australia, a young woman's romance with a locally renowned fisherman is beginning to sour. A man who's been illegally fishing near town catches her eye and she contrives a meeting, leading to a passionate affair. However, nothing stays secret in such a small town and when word reaches her current partner, the poacher flees into the Outback, preferring to risk death in the brutal environment than take a beating.
