Consultant surgeon Amit Modi performs an all-day operation on 70-year-old Jeanette, who is suffering from a diseased aorta, which is threatening to rupture and cause heart failure. Amit must remove and replace the damaged section of the aorta with a synthetic tube and take out her faulty aortic valve, before sewing in a new one made of bovine tissue
