Máirtín Seoighe goes in search of the history of his surname with, needless to say, a particular focus on Joyce Country where his ancestors hail from. The Joyces were also one of the Tribes of Galway and were successful traders and Máirtín is interested in finding out more about Richard Joyce, who is associated with the design of the first Claddagh Ring. He later meets up with genealogist Paul Mc Cotter who reveals still more about his ancestors that Máirtín had no idea of, beforeh e learns more about famous writer James Joyce and how Galway influenced his writing
