After six months at sea on its first operational deployment, HMS Queen Elizabeth departs the Pacific for the long voyage home. After crossing the Arabian Sea, the ship stops at Duqm in Oman to replenish stores, before proceeding up the Red Sea, through the Suez canal and into the eastern Mediterranean. An F35 jet on a routine launch loses power at a critical moment and the pilot has to eject, and HMS Queen Elizabeth launches a search and rescue mission to locate the airman
