In the third of his trilogy of documentaries on the Kokoda Campaign, Patrick Lindsay draws upon over 100 participant interviews to tell how Australian troops – young, ill-trained, under-equipped and outnumbered – held out against the Japanese invaders long enough for reinforcements to arrive and eventually tip the balance
