Derek Brockway embarks on two walks close to the English border. In the first he treks along the hills overlooking Abergavenny, and scales the Skirrid, a hill that feels more like a mountain. Then he heads to Holywell, taking a dip in St Winifred's Well before travelling down into the Greenfield Valley to the coastal path along the Dee estuary, and finishing his journey at Flint castle
