Okavango

Season 1 Episode 3 of 3

Botswana's Okavango Delta is capable of supporting a wide variety of life, even though the lush wetland of islands and lagoons lies in the middle of the Kalahari Desert. As this film shows, each year a vast flood transforms the landscape and impacts on the lives of native species such as baboons, catfish, kingfishers, leopards, warthogs and elephants. More surprisingly, it also reveals how the flood creates this extraordinary delta in the first place thanks to the help of termites and hippos. Narrated by Domhnall Gleeson
