In December 1980, a security patrol near RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk, spotted descending lights. Servicemen Jim Penniston, John Burroughs and Ed Casabang investigated, finding a glowing metallic object with coloured lights. Penniston documented the craft for 45 minutes in a notebook, including sketches of hieroglyphic inscriptions
