Zoologist Lucy Cooke sees first-hand the incredible bond between animals and their newborn offspring. She begins by heading to the Yorkshire Dales to join shepherdess Amanda Owen and her husband Clive, who have more than a thousand sheep that lamb on some of the toughest terrain in Britain. Lucy then visits Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent, which is part of animal conservation charity The Aspinall Foundation, where she witnesses the birth of a black rhino - of which there are only around 2,500 of left in the wild
