Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall were the victorious players in the last four in 2023, claiming hard-fought victories over Luke Humphries and Peter Wright respectively. Home favourite van Gerwen then claimed the prestigious title by recording a dominant 11-4 win against Aspinall in the showpiece match, lifting the trophy for the fifth time in his career, but the first since 2019.
