In the Blue Mountains, he learns about people's relationship to the land from his indigenous guide, before reaching Katoomba, where he rides the steepest railway in the world. He follows this with an overnight journey on one of the world's longest trains, the luxurious Indian Pacific Railway, which takes him to his destination - the mining city of Broken Hill
