The life of 1916 Easter Proclamation signatory Éamonn Ceannt, who became interested in the growing wave of Irish nationalism at an early age. During the Easter Rising, he commanded the Volunteers at the South Dublin Union, and was executed for his role in the insurrection in May 1916
