Russian ship the Demeter is a perfectly ordinary vessel, but her new voyage seems different. Not only does it include a motley collection of remarkable passengers, including one Count Dracula, but it also boasts a strange cargo - 50 boxes of mouldering Transylvanian soil. As the crew sets sail, they are soon locked in a life-or-death struggle to prevent the vampire reaching their destination of Whitby, England.
