General manager Garry Healey and housekeeper Zara Doherty welcome their rivals to the Cliffemount Hotel in Runswick Bay in North Yorkshire. Guests Lana and Alistair are wowed by the views, but Belgian sisters Daniele and Chantal don't think the décor reflects their surroundings. After an afternoon fossil hunting on the beach, Garry entertains his guests at dinner with a taste of his past, and gives them a sight to remember. In the morning, Claire and Adam think their breakfast lacks flavour, and the feedback leaves Garry and Zara wanting answers
