On the remote island Papa Westray, the Baker family needs to pregnancy scan its 64 ewes, though the flock is running amok. They've timed lambing to happen after Mel has her baby, which is due imminently. With no hospital facilities on the island, the entire family prepares to leave for mainland Orkney. In Dumfries and Galloway, Nick is exhausted from lambing his dad Derek's traditional flock, and as night falls a calf's life hangs in the balance. Keziah returns home to Hillhead Farm in time for a visit from a group of nursery children, who get an impromptu lesson in biology
