Julia continues her 12,000km journey across the continent in Central Australia, a huge outback region of the Northern Territory also known as the Red Centre. She begins in the town of Alice Springs, where she is persuaded to take part in a dry boat race. She also heads back to the classroom at the world's largest school, meets a retired Aussie soap star at his desert home and takes a camel ride to the sacred site of Uluru, or Ayers Rock
