As Joanna's Silk Road Adventure draws to a close, she travels across the Central Asian states of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Starting in the Kyzylkum desert, she explores the citadel of Khiva, a town infamous for its history of slavery. A high-speed train then whisks her to the magnificent 14th-century architecture of Samarkand, before heading to mountainous Kyrgyzstan, where she meets DJs, K-Pop groups, eagle hunters and yak herders. Finally, her journey ends near the Chinese border, at the old Silk Road caravanserai of Tash Rabat
