Aneeshwar and Lizzie Go Wild
Honeybee and Naked Mole Rat
Season 2 Episode 39 of 40
Aneeshwar and Lizzie meet some honeybees. There can be 50,000 honeybees in each hive, and they can beat their wings 230 times every second. Honeybees do a 'waggle dance' that tells other bees where to find plants full of a sugar-rich liquid called nectar, which the bees use to make their honey. Next, they meet some naked mole rats. These incredible looking creatures live underground, and the team have to use special night vision cameras to see them. They see that the mole rats have huge teeth, no hair and spend much of their time walking backwards. These two animals are very different, but Aneeshwar and Lizzie discover what the unusual and extraordinary wild connection is between them.
