A look at stories surrounding the ghost of 17th-century Edinburgh executioner George Mackenzie that sprung up in 1998 after a homeless man broke into his tomb and fell into an assembly of decomposing corpses. Within weeks, stories of blackouts and inexplicable attacks began to spread, with Edinburgh City Council locking the gates and declaring the area out of bounds for public safety.
